The cool season is almost upon us! With it comes the perfect weather for working on the MST in the Coastal Crescent! September is the MST’s birthday month, and during it we have 4 exciting days of trail work scheduled for ongoing projects in Sampson County. Please consider joining us and being a part of this transformative work to expand and improve the MST!

These workdays will all offer both basic trail maintenance work that doesn’t require special skills or training like cutting limbs or raking, as well as more technical installation of trail infrastructure like access gates and bollards. No matter what your level of experience is, there are great ways to contribute!

Sunday, September 28: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Where: Meet at Western District Park in Roseboro, NC.
Details & Registration

DIRECTIONS: Western District Park in Roseboro, NC is a Sampson County park facility with ball fields and a paved walking trail accessed from West Clinton Street. We are so excited to add these first two sections of natural surface trail in Sampson County and hope to see you there! Cell service can be spotty in these locations, but my number is below if you have any issues the day of. I’ll send a reminder and weather update a few days ahead of time to those who have registered and if weather becomes an issue I will update on the workday status 24 hours in advance.

Feel free to reach out with any questions. See you there!
