This Saturday, October 18^th 9AM meeting at 4404 Guess Road, behind the Eno River Association office we will work on repairing the MST immediately down river from the Guess Road Bridge. This section of trail has needed some work for a while, and was damaged during the flooding, so we are now going to repair it and harden it against future flooding. There has also been a lot of brick/concrete/cinder block/asphalt trash in this area, as well as other trash so we are going to work on that as well. The main task will be moving rock we had delivered down to where it is needed in wheelbarrows. Fortunately, the rock pile is very close to the work site.

While this is the most problematic portion of the MST between Old Oxford Road and Guess Road, I had put this work on hold as the trails in the State Park have been closed. The MST from Guess Road to Pleasant Green Road is now open! Thank you state park rangers and staff for all your hard work getting this trail reopened. Thus, it is now more important to do this work.
