Special extra workday – This Friday, 9AM, November 28^th, the Friday after thanksgiving!  We will be meeting at 317 Omega Road in Durham.

The forecast is currently quite good, cool, but no rain.

For this workday we will be repairing the steps down to the River Forest Picnic Rocks that were damaged in the flooding back in October.

For this workday we will be working with our friends from REI. They support the idea that the Friday after Thanksgiving should be for getting outdoors, not for shopping.

We need to replace about 6 of the cedar steps and put in a lot of golf ball to soft ball size gravel. Tools will be provided. You will want to wear boots or solid shoes, work clothes, and bring water, work gloves, a snack or lunch, insect repellent. These workdays start at 9AM. You may stay as long or short as you wish. We usually finish in early afternoon.

We may also do some native tree planting and invasive plant removal.
