Hello Friends!

We are hosting another workday at Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site (5466 Harper House Rd, Four Oaks, NC 27524) on September 27th from 9 AM – 1 PM. We will be finalizing the reroute of a section of Morris Farm Trail, including light trimming, signage, blazing, and conducting a small ceremony to celebrate. This workday won’t be as labor-intensive, but we would like anyone who helped in the past to make it if possible so we can honor you’re hard work.

Details for Day of
As always, dress appropriately for the expected weather and for working in the woods with hand tools. I will bring all the tools we need; if you’d like to bring you’re own: hand clippers, light or heavy rakes, pruners, hand saws, and gloves. We do have a need for certified sawyers on this final day; if you are certified through USFS and can bring all of your gear, let me know. I only have a need for 1, maybe 2 sawyers, and a couple of swampers. Mostly dead trees, a few live with smaller diameters (under 12″)
